New Comment Deadlines for Exposure Draft - ASOP No. 27 and Discussion Draft - ASOP No. 4

In acknowledgment of the significant changes proposed therein, the Actuarial Standards Board has extended the deadline for comments on the recently released exposure draft of the revision of ASOP No. 27 to April 30, 2011. It should be noted that revisions to the exposure draft will be discussed in detail at the 2011 EA meeting at the end of March.

Also, although the discussion draft for ASOP No. 4 has a "comment request date," because it is a discussion draft and not an exposure draft, comments can be submitted and accepted at any time. Please review this discussion draft and give the Pension Committee the benefit of your comments and suggestions. (Comments can be sent to discussion@actuary.org). While comments will not be published and will not receive individual responses, they will receive appropriate consideration by the drafting committee in the expectation of preparing it as an exposure draft as the next step in the revision of ASOP No. 4.
